VHS NIGHT: RIsing Storm
On Friday night (8/4), VHS Night returns with Rising Storm (aka Rebel Storm, aka Rebel Waves). This month we’ve got an action-satire oddity from director Frank Schaeffer. Schaeffer began his career at the juncture of politics and evangelism, but it’s clear that he was in a very different place by the time he made Rising Storm.
Rising Storm is about a team of freedom fighters searching for the ruins of the last rebel DJ studio, so they can fight the dictatorship of Blessed Reverend Jimmie Joe the Second using the power of rock-and-roll.

Oppenheimer - FInal Week
We committed to playing Oppenheimer on 35mm for its entire run, and we’re sticking to it. From now through Thursday (8/10), Oppenheimer will play at least once per day, with every show on 35mm film.

Coming Soon: So Much Stuff
Oppenheimer was the first time in a year that we played one movie, uninterrupted, for 3 weeks. No wonder that’s how the big guys do it, playing one movie at a time is so, so much easier.
