Movies from the master every week, all month long
- Week One -

At first, Jack Burton seems like yet another tough-guy role for Kurt Russel. But appearances can be deceiving, because Burton is a jackass. It’s that jackassery that makes Big Trouble in Little China so much fun, and make room for Wang Chi (Dennis Dun) to step up as the story’s real hero.

Written, directed, scored, and edited by John Carpenter two years before Halloween. Join us as we celebrate our 4-year anniversary with back-to-back shows of They Live and The Thing — the same movies we played for our grand opening!
Shows are ticketed independently for folks who can’t stay all night, but we highly recommend you make a night of it. It’s always a blast, and we’ve got a few surprises up our sleeve this year.

There are only 2 movies we've played every year since re-opening, and John Carpenter's anti-commercialist joyride They Live is one of them. Roddy Piper stars as the iconic John Nada, a drifter stumbles upon a unique pair of sunglasses that reveal aliens are systematically gaining control of the Earth by masquerading as humans and lulling the public into submission.
Friday (7/25) - 7:00
Saturday (7/26) - 7:00

The Thing is one of the best horror films ever made, thanks to the incredible combination of John Carpenter, Kurt Russel, and make-up effects genius Rob Bottin (whose credits include Total Recall, Seven, and many more).
